Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is on track to potentially become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, according to a report from Informa Connect Academy. Following close behind, Indian industrialist Gautam Adani could achieve trillionaire status by 2028, while Asia’s wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani, is predicted to reach that milestone in 2033.

Musk, currently the wealthiest individual with a net worth of $237 billion, would need to maintain an annual growth rate of 110% to hit the trillionaire mark, the report noted. Adani, with an estimated fortune of just under $100 billion and ranked 13th globally, could reach trillionaire status next if his business empire, spanning sectors like ports and energy, continues its current 123% growth trajectory.

Ambani, who currently boasts a net worth of $111 billion, is expected to hit the trillion-dollar mark by 2033, with his conglomerate, Reliance Industries Ltd., projected to achieve a trillion-dollar market valuation by 2035. It would be the only Indian company to do so, the report highlighted.

Other prominent business leaders, including NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang, Indonesian tycoon Prajogo Pangestu, French billionaire Bernard Arnault, and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, are also named as potential trillionaires in the coming years.

At present, only a few companies, such as Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and Saudi Aramco, have surpassed the trillion-dollar valuation. Nvidia recently joined the club in 2023, and Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway reached the milestone in August.
